As a charity, we rely on volunteers and donations to deliver STEM opportunities to children and young people across the region.
Whether you are an individual, a company or a grant-giving trust, there are lots of ways you can get in involved and help the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.
We run various workshops for both primary and secondary pupils including our fantastic K'nex Challenges, Coding, Renewable Energy, Moving Toys and Girls in Computing workshops.
This year, we have also launched the Research STEM project, specifically for Year 12 students who are interested in a career in research.
All of these incredible opportunities for youngsters are only possible thanks to our supporters generosity!

Last year, children benefitted from over 38,400 hours of volunteers time. That is 6,400 school days in total or 34 entire academic years - remarkable!
Volunteers can work in any role within the STEM industry or do a STEM role in a different industry!

Charity of the Year
Lots of businesses, community groups and schools nominate a Charity of the Year, so we would love you to consider nominating STEMPOINT!
We can support your team throughout the year, suggest fundraising ideas and events and will keep in touch with you about the impact your donation has.
Longer-term collaborations are excellent for team building and increasing staff engagement.

With 2,000 Ambassadors, why not encourage your team to become a STEM Ambassador and help inspire young people about STEM careers.
Are you a company that could provide a Research Placement for a 17 year old student, to supervise a student during the summer?
How to book?
Our primary school workshops are currently only available in Hertfordshire and Luton.
However, all schools in the region can request a STEM Ambassador free of charge.
We provide hands-on, fun, educational, interactive workshops ‘not for profit’
£265 for morning session/s
£390 for a full day.
Our workshops may not cover all of the National Curriculum links in great depth as we are restricted by time, however you have the opportunity to cover them in more detail with the follow up activities you will be receiving from us once your workshop has taken place.
Contact Helen for more details.
What impact will your donation have?
Last year, 7,240 children from 143 different schools took part in a K'nex challenge!
These workshops offer 8 to 11 year olds the chance to build something without having set instructions. Working in pairs they need to plan, design, build and then present their creation - helping to build their confidence and team work skills.
£125 could fund a K'nex challenge in a school near you!
£300 could fund training for new volunteers.
£500 could replenish the K'nex kits at the end of term.

Research STEM
This summer 120 students will take part in a bespoke research project under one-to-one supervision of an expert in that field.
Each project enables a student to run a specific research piece from start to finish in a laboratory or work environment. It will boost their confidence, give them new skills and help them build transferable skills such as communication and team work which will be useful in all aspects of their lives.
- £200 could provide a students from a low-income household with a bursary to ensure lack of finances wasn't a barrier to them participating.
- £500 could fund training for all project supervisors.
- £790 could fund one student to carry out a Research STEM project in 2025.
Girls in Computing workshops
These new workshops have been incredibly popular and we saw 215 females students from 18 different schools take part in our pilot project last year.
The project is for girls in Year 8 and 9 with the aim of showcasing the wide variety of career opportunities there are in the Technology sector and to encourage them to consider choosing Computer Science as a GCSE.
The workshops enabled like-minded girls from different schools to work together on exciting computer-based activities with the support of experts from various IT roles in different industries.
£35 could fund a place for one student.
£700 could fund one workshop for up to 20 girls.
£2,000 could replace some of the Chrome books.
